HVAC and electrical services in Waxhaw, NC

EZ HVAC & Electric is a licensed HVAC company and electrical contractor serving Waxhaw from Mint Hill. Ezequiel Lopez handles every job himself, from repair calls to new systems and electrical installations.

From homes near historic downtown to Millbridge and Cureton, the right approach depends on how your home works for you. You may need more even temperatures between floors, a replacement for an aging system, or power for a new EV charger.

We'll explain the options and the price before work starts, whether you're fixing a problem or planning an upgrade.

For new construction or homes with more than one system, we plan the equipment around the spaces it needs to serve. We also handle everyday AC repairs and ductwork problems. See all HVAC services.

Owner & technician

Meet Ezequiel Lopez

I'm Ezequiel Lopez, and I've spent 14 years in the HVAC and electrical trades. I run EZ HVAC & Electric the way I think a contractor should work: the person who looks at your system and gives you the price is the same person who shows up and does the job.

I hold both licenses, NC HVAC License #30039 and NC Electrical License #37663. That matters more than people expect. A lot of heating and cooling problems turn out to be electrical, and a lot of new equipment needs a new circuit, so being able to handle both means fewer appointments and one person accountable for the whole job.

I'd rather explain what's going on and let you decide than sell you something you don't need. If a repair will do, I'll tell you.

Based in Mint Hill. Serving Waxhaw, Charlotte and the surrounding area, Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Frequently asked questions

Good questions. Straight answers.

Do you install whole house generators in Waxhaw?

Yes. We install standby generators with automatic transfer switches, as well as inlets and interlock kits for portable generators.

Do you work on new homes being built in Waxhaw?

Yes. We handle new construction HVAC and electrical wiring for builders and owners.

Can you add zoning to a larger Waxhaw home?

Often, yes. Zoning uses dampers and separate thermostats so different floors or areas can be kept at different temperatures. We'll check whether your system and ductwork are a good fit.

Are you licensed for HVAC and electrical work in Waxhaw?

Yes. Ezequiel Lopez holds NC HVAC License #30039 and NC Electrical License #37663.

What are your hours for Waxhaw service calls?

We're open Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, weekends included, and there's no travel fee for Waxhaw. Limited after-hours emergency service by phone.

Can you install an EV charger and a generator at the same time?

Yes, and it's often the smart way to do it. We check your panel's capacity once and plan both installations so the panel, generator transfer switch and charger circuit all work together.
