What’s included
What installation includes
We check your panel's capacity and existing load, pick the right circuit size, run the wiring to the charging location and install the outlet or charger. If the panel can't support a charger safely, we'll explain your options, including load management or an electrical panel upgrade.
NEMA 14-50 or hardwired?
A NEMA 14-50 outlet is flexible if you use a plug-in charger or might change vehicles. A hardwired charger allows higher charging speeds on the right circuit and has no plug to wear out. We'll help you choose based on your car, your charger and your panel.
Compare charging speeds
Level 1 vs Level 2 charging
Every EV can charge from a standard 120V outlet (Level 1), but it's slow: often only a few miles of range per hour. A Level 2 charger runs on 240V and can typically refill a daily commute overnight with plenty to spare. For most drivers, a Level 2 charger at home is the upgrade that makes an EV easy to live with.

Plan your charging space
Choosing a charger location
Reach the charge port
Mount it near where the car's charge port ends up when you park, so the cable reaches without stretching.
Keep walkways clear
Keep the cable off the walkway and away from garage door tracks.
Choose outdoor-rated equipment
For outdoor installs, use a charger rated for outdoor use.
Check Wi-Fi coverage
If your charger has Wi-Fi features, check that the signal reaches the garage.
Plan for another EV
Planning a second EV? We can size the circuit or add load sharing with that in mind.
Capacity that fits your home
Planning ahead: panel capacity and load management
A Level 2 charger is one of the biggest continuous loads in a home, similar to an electric range but running for hours at a time. Before installing, we calculate your home's existing load to make sure the panel and service can support the charger alongside your HVAC, water heater and appliances.
If capacity is tight, there are options short of a full upgrade: a smaller circuit that still charges overnight, a charger with adjustable current, or a load management device that reduces charging when the house is using more power. If a second EV is likely, we'll size the plan for two chargers from the start.

FAQ
Good questions. Straight answers.
EV Charger Installation in Charlotte, NC.
How much does EV charger installation cost in Charlotte?
It depends on the charger, the distance from the panel to the charging spot and whether your panel needs changes. We'll look at your setup and give you a price before any work starts.
NEMA 14-50 or hardwired?
A NEMA 14-50 outlet works with plug-in chargers and gives flexibility. A hardwired charger supports faster charging on the right circuit and avoids plug wear. We'll recommend the best fit for your car and panel.
Will my panel handle an EV charger?
Many panels can, but it depends on capacity and existing load. We check before installing and can use a smaller circuit, load management or a panel upgrade if needed.
Do you install Tesla Wall Connectors?
Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors and other Level 2 chargers on a properly sized dedicated circuit.
